Bangkok love.

May 20, 2008

Ok i don’t know how to work this and arrange the pics properly so they aren’t in order. Random pics in the heart of fun fun BKK. *note: not all pics are taken by me. just a general overview of our Bangkok trip.*

Best described would be…?

May 18, 2008

I sometimes get feelings so overwhelming i wish i could express.

Like now for instance. I love, miss and yearn for my baby so much…it would be amazing the things i would do if i had enough cash and unlimited amounts of time by me. My heart aches for just a little more of us time.

Best way to describe how i feel right now?

Arms over shoulders, linked behind the neck. Looking straight in the eye with a sweet smile. Telling you how much i love you and us just moving to the light sounds of soothing music in the background with wine and some mousse waiting for us on the table.
And dark red roses. Very dark.

Me, you or the world around us?

May 17, 2008

The earthquake in China and the cyclone in Myanmar maybe nature’s way to control the earth’s population. But what about our role as the people still here on earth?

Joseph was asking yesterday when we met “Why is it that disasters usually hit the poorest of places? Like New Orleans, Myanmar, in poorer districts of China?”

I wonder why too…

I’ve seen videos of cameramen running around trying to find the source of a buried voice in hopes of finding the missing person. I’ve seen pictures of a faithful man, strapping his wife’s body onto his back on a bicycle telling the photographer “I’m bringing her home.” I’ve seen pictures of 10 year old girls crying as they amputate her arm and her leg with a fire fighter’s axe, a kitchen knive and a pair of scissors, only to have her die 10 minutes later.

In short, I’ve seen enough to make me want to move. Make me want to help. Desperately.

At the center, when we called representatives in China and asked “What do you need over there? We can get it here for you. What can we help you with?”

“Body bags. Let is be realistic. We need thousands of them.”

They aren’t cheap. And every carton they transport into the center makes our blood run cold. Thousands of body bags giving us an extremely realistic visualization of the number of casualties in China.

I’ve used up most of my Visit Daniel Fund for it.
So visiting you will have to wait baby. But i will one day.

Will come home with lots of pics for you baby and lots of love messages will be left of your phone so be warned!

I’ll miss you very much baby but i’ll take very good care of myself and will update you everyday and will come home healthy and in one whole piece for you to cuddle and kiss when you come home in…about a years time.

I love you!
Muaks.

I’ve left you messages all over the place…so you have to look for them while i’m away.
haha. Have fun darling! muaks.

Entomophogy

May 7, 2008
“I used to feast on little red ants when i was a kid …i would eat them one at a time for hours…the bitter sour taste was good to me ….no one told me not to…”
Surprisingly, there was no article on Wiki about Entomophogy.
Neither is there an article on Microlivestock which is another name similar to Entomophogy. (wow right?)
It’s basically ‘the art’ of eating insects. Popular in Asia, taboo to most Westerners.
Wax worms apparently taste a lot like butter in cookies.
Earth worms on the other hand taste iron-ey and a little…bloody. Good on its own apparently.
Crickets are tasty on its own too and little fried maggots taste like cocoa pops with choc milk.
I’m all game to try some of those tasty bugs.
Lets go look for some baby!
I tried silk worms once. Braised. Tastes like…boiled peanuts just yummier!
I would love love love to try tequila worm lollies, choc coated worms and honey coated fried ants.
Yum…sounds good no?
Check out B.A.B.E.S.

I miss school.

May 7, 2008

When they said i would about 3 years back, i didn’t believe them. And today i so do.

I miss sitting on hard wooden chairs and propping myself up on hard wooden desks, peeling off paint covering scribbled love letters, abusive words and some important Biology facts to copy of exams most probably.

I miss chalk.
I miss annoying teachers i don’t understand sometimes.
I even miss school uniforms. And pinafores are all the rage at the moment.

I miss huge thick revisions books combining like 2 or 3 years of study materials in huge charts, many short points and colourful highlighted lines to memories from.

I miss how easy school was. Forgot your math homework? No prob. Copy it off someone or something. Or…take the chance- you will probably get away with it no punishment nothing.
I miss swapping text books with friends of other classes.

I miss carrying trendy backpacks.

I missed not going for recess and staying in to finish work with Mr. Bf or classmates.
I missed being cheeky in school with Mr. Bf too. hehe.

I miss friends and how easy it was to see each other everyday.

I even miss homework and mugging.
I’ve not done any mugging in 4 years now. Ok…4 and a half.

I miss the school compound. I miss Monday morning ‘perhimpunan’.
I miss exams. And how crazy exciting they were most of the time thought it was kinda silly.
I miss tuition!
I miss every darn silly thing school comes with.

Most of all, i miss the thick text books filled with highlighted text and charts and the million point forms.
